WORKING HARD...

Hey!

This week has been good but it has been a little slower than last week. We have had a lot of people cancel on us which is always really hard. We also have had a lot of people start to avoid us all together. Even with all the cancelations we were able to teach a few solid lessons. We taught this one older kind of crazy lady named S. She is Catholic and has some interesting beliefs that Catholics don't even have haha. She also claims she has seen God which was crazy haha. I asked her what God looked like and she said "He was kind of like a blob or a ghost like figure". So I responded by saying "Well did he look more like a man or a floating bed sheet haha". She answered and said all she could see was 2 feet a hand and some facial features". So I asked if she believed in the Bible and she said "Yes". I proceeded to tell her how the Bible teaches that we are created in God's own image and that he has a body of flesh and bone and she quickly changed the subject. It was an interesting experience. Other than S. we just taught a lot of less- active members.

This weekend was Stake Conference and it was a good one. The adult session was my favorite although it isn't really an adult session anymore since they invite everyone 12 and older to it now! The majority of Stake Conference was focused on the theme of Hastening the Work. Like I said it was a great stake conference and I learned a lot. We even had an investigator and her less active boyfriend/soon to be husband come. They seemed to really enjoy it!

Elder Buntrock and I get along really well. We have a lot in common and both want to work hard which makes missionary work so much nicer. Our ward is awesome. The members are great and would do anything for us. They are also very helpful and come with us to a lot of our appointments! Our ward mission leader is an older guy (70ish) who cracks lots of jokes that he thinks are hilarious haha. He is a good ward mission leader. Our Bishop is super solid!

As for my migraines, I really do not get them all that often. Although I just ran out of my heart burn medicine and could use some of that ASAP! As for clothes I could really use some new garments and a few more pairs of socks. A lot of my socks have holes in them :/. We have been running a mile every morning this week and I have been running in my vans so I could definitely use some running shoes. Although I was thinking for my birthday this year I was going to ask for some new basketball shoes since mine are 9.5 and I wear 11.5 haha. There is a Ross in Billings and I could find som cheap running and B-ball shoes there.

Thanks for all the updates with everyone. That is so cool Katie and Trevor are having another baby. Same with Konrad and Michelle. Do you know if they are going to be boys or girls yet? You will have to make sure and send me some pictures of Cameron and Michael's weddings! That is crazy that they are both getting married! I will make sure to keep Uncle Tom and Jeff in my prayers!! I wish I could be there to help Grandee and Papa build the chicken coop! That would be so much fun! There are a ton of people up here that have chickens. I am so pumped for yours and Jessica's trip to Europe. I told some girls in our ward that you guys are going to Europe to see One Direction in concert and they flipped -haha. Make sure to take lot of pictures!
I love you guys tons and I miss you so so so much! I hope you have a fantastic week!!!

Hey Dad!

Well it sounds like you had a pretty fun week! I am pumped you got to go do some fishing up on the mountain! Some of those fish don't look so healthy - haha. Sure looks nice up there. It has been a little nicer up here lately. Although it has been really overcast lately and kind of drizzly. Wish the sun would just come out already - haha. I can't complain to much though since it has been in the 40's.

I can't wait to see some pictures from the trail camera. I hope you get a stud buck on camera! Although they should drop pretty soon so you won't see to much headgear on anything! There is another smaller dam in that same canyon that I sent you the coordinates of. It is a bit of a hike but if it is as wet as you say it is that dam has to have water in it. I bet a lot of critters use it since it is so hidden! You should make the trek out there and check it out! it could be a honey hole!! We haven't seen to many deer here lately. Although we did get to go to a little town called Absarokee this Saturday for a baptism. It is pretty down there and we got to see a few deer on the drive!

I am bummed I don't get to watch any basketball this year especially since the Cats are doing so well! It would be pretty sweet if BYU and UofA got to play each other! I seriously miss spending time with you so much! I can not wait to go chase some deer, elk, javelinas, coyotes or even jack rabbits with you again!!

I hope you know how much I love you and appreciate all you have done for me!
Miss you tons!
-Jake
