OPEN HOUSE TIME...

So by the time the open house came around on Sunday, October 28th...Jake was feeling pretty relaxed. He was quite nervous for his talk...really that was the only thing that's made him super nervous so far! So he enjoyed the night visiting with friends and saying his good bye to ward members & friends. 

We enjoyed good company and lots of yummy treats!

I didn't get everyone in the pictures because I was busy visiting...but I think we ended up with about 89 people coming thru the house that night. The last picture is of the quilt squares I pre-cut and then friends could write messages on them before they are sewn into a quilt for him to take on his mission.

A BEAUTIFUL DAY AT THE MESA ARIZONA TEMPLE....

What a wonderful experience to be able to attend the temple with your child. It was a beautiful day and we were together as a family! Jake was especially grateful that his sister was able to be with us.

GETTING READY...

So thanks to some good friends who shared with us the information to go to Pomeroys in Mesa, AZ...we were able to get 3/4 of the items on his list and mark them off all in a matter of a few hours. There were still doctors appointments, DMV, dentist appointments, banking, giving notice at work, attending the temple, and finishing up some other stuff - but he was off to a nice start!
