PRETTY DIFFICULT WEEK...

Well this week has been pretty difficult to be honest! I wish I could have stayed as busy as it sounds like you have been!

I thought being doubled in was hard. Well it is even harder when you get doubled in without a car and without hardly any information. I don't have much to write about since basically all we did was tract, tract, and tract some more! I have never knocked on so many doors in my entire life! Hey if it is true that the more you tract the hotter your wife will be, I'm going to marry someone smoking hot haha! I guess I don't hate tracting it is just very hard to tract all day!

This Monday we went over to the Carpers for my "goodbye party" haha. I am so thankful for families like them that make the areas we serve in feel like home! I am going to miss them but I will see them again for sure. Brother Carper and his son Kyle want to come to AZ to go on a javelin hunt so that should be fun! Also, before we left DuBois I got to pet a Bobcat! It was huge, the guy said it weighed 50 lbs! It was really cool to be able to pet a bobcat just like a house cat although I would be lying if i said I wasn't scared haha!

Anyway a little info on my new area! It is a very wealthy area. The neighborhood we live in is very high end. There area has tons of beautiful homes! Our house is very nice! We get the whole basement to ourselves which is very clean and cozy which is great! It makes it a lot easier to stay organized and get our studies done! The (60ish) older couple we live with, the Harris', are really nice and helpful. I think the best thing about this transfer is the living situation haha.

We cover a "small" area so we don't have a car which stinks but it will help me get in shape haha. Our ward mission leader is pretty young and really cool. We get along really well. He also is very helpful. I feel that if we work with him and get some ward missionaries called we will be able to stay busy!

My new companion is Elder Short. He is 24 and has been out for 6 months. We have a couple of appointments set up for this week so hopefully something awesome will come from them! Church yesterday was great. We have an awesome ward that I feel is very missionary minded. This week was Ward Conference and it was focused on hastening the work of Salvation!

My challenge to you guys this week is to try and look for missionary opportunities throughout the week and act like Christ would act toward everyone! It will be hard but if you do your best you will see so many blessings come from it!!

Well I love you and hope your week is great! I also hope you can find a little bit of time to relax!

Hey dad well you can hear about my week in the email I sent to mom! It has been by far one of the hardest weeks of my mission! I am excited to be in Billings and be around so many other missionaries! Alder Wiggins is in my Zone and is actually emailing right next to me haha. I think we are going to spend preparation day with him and his comp since we don't have a car. We are going to hopefully play a little B-Ball so I am pumped for that! I think it will be a little hard getting started in are new area but I think we can have some success here for sure. the members are really great and will do anything to help the missionaries which is awesome!
At least you got out and got to see some deer this week! I have only seen 3 does since I have been in Billings! That is ok though it will help keep me focused instead of trying to find deer! How was hunting over where Glorioso told us about? See anything other than coues does? Or did you even see any of them. The pictures of that area you sent me look really good! There have got to be some bucks there somewhere. Have by chance even gone and looked at that 37b area or are you focusing more on 36b since that is where your javi tag is for? I hope you can at least find some pigs to stalk! I bet hunting javelin with a bow is a blast! Make sure to take lots of pictures and send them my way! I love looking at them!
Well I hope you have a fun week and get out a couple more times!
Love you tons!
-Jake
