INSPIRED ZONE CONFERENCE!

This week was actually probably the best week of my last 2 transfers! We had Zone Conference on Tuesday which was great! It was a very inspired zone conference for sure! It was down in Worland Wyoming which is about 2 hours away. On the way there Elder Wood got a ticket for speeding which was pretty funny haha. The conference went from 9-4 so it was pretty long but good. President Mecham had some nice things to say to me before we left which really helped with the whole companion situation.

On Wednesday night the Zone leaders came to Cody to interview all the Cody missionaries. Elder Thawley interviewed me and Elder Zachilli interviewed Elder Wood. Elder Thawley told me, but no one else knew why we were having the interviews. It was to see if we were worthy of having I-pad minis to help move the work forward! Our mission is going to pilot this new advance in technology! Elder Thawley told me that I would probably get one which made me super excited but than he talked about how Elder Wood would most likely not. I thought about it and told him not to give me one as long as I am with Elder Wood and he isn't eligible for one. I figured if he saw me with one it would just upset him further and not be a good thing. Elder Thawley agreed so I guess I will just have to wait a little bit longer. :/ That is alright though. So Elder Wood's interview went really well! I don't know if it was something Elder Zachilli said or if it was the fact that Elder Wood knew our mission was going to pilot something and he wasn't going to be a part of it but whatever it was it worked! He actually made a real effort to get up at 6:30 and study and he has started to read his scriptures and say his prayers again! He actually wanted to do missionary work and we did! I hope it continues this way!

We met with A. again on Wednesday and he still needed to ask his dad if he could be baptized so we made him promise to ask by Saturday and tell us at church on Sunday. Well come Sunday he wasn't at church but his mom was and she told us the bad news. His dad said no for right now. She said he hasn't proven to his dad that it is really what he wants. So I think we are going to go over how he can show his dad that this is what he wants!

I have been studying our area book lately and went through some of the previous and potential investigators. I made a list of 7 names or so that stood out to me! On Friday we made time to go contact from the list. Elder Wood chose the first name from the list but the guy wasn't home. I chose the second name which was a young family who stopped investigating about a year ago. When the man answered the door he was very nice. I told him how we were going through some old records and saw his name and thought we would stop by and see if he wanted to learn more or if there was anything we could do for him. He and his family were just leaving but he said we could come back and teach them again some time this week!! I was so pumped and I know the spirit guided me to their house at that time to catch them before they left! It was an awesome experience and I can't wait to meet with them again!

Church was really good yesterday and we had 2 investigators show up and one less active. Both the G. kids showed up and stayed for all three hours which was great! The less active who came was D. B.  She is awesome and has a testimony of the church, she is just really busy and her only day to relax is Sunday which makes it hard for her to come to church but she made it! We are going to try to get her daughter to participate in the primary program in two weeks!

I think that sums it all up! My shot went fine and I took like a champ! Haha Elder Wood not so much. He has like the lowest pain tolerance of anybody I know. Lol. I haven't gotten a package from Grandee and Papa yet but will keep an eye out for it! I can't think of anything really other than maybe cracked pepper seeds for my box so I guess surprise me! Haha Well I love you more than words can describe and can't wait to skype you guys in like 2 months!

P.S. - Anyway so bad news we were just playing soccer and my vans basically ripped in half which is not surprising seeing how they have been really my only normal shoe for about a year. So I might have to go to K-mart and something and get a cheap pair of shoes. just thought I would warn you. Love you tons.

Hey Dad!

This week was actually really good but kinda long so you can read about it in the other letter. Hopefully things with the comp are turning around though! Also we had a great Zone conference down in Worland which was much needed!

I forgot to put in the other letter that it snowed last night and is still snowing! There is about 1-2 inches or so! I kind of like the snow but at the same time it sucks! My shot and everything went well. I didn't even flinch unlike Elder wood whose whole leg kicked up when he got the shot it was pretty funny and I wish I would have recorded it! Anyway only 2 weeks in this transfer left so I guess we will see if I stay or go soon! I'm not sure yet if I want to stay or go?!? Whatever happens, happens!

I hope you get to get out a shoot the gun before your hunt who knows how it is shooting after the spill it took 2 years ago haha! It is crazy to think that was 2 years ago! Time has flown! Before you know it we will be up in the desert mountains together chasing the grey ghosts again! I can't wait! I hope you get some sweet pics on the trail camera! I hope the government figures this crap out so you can go back to work! I hate being away from home while all this is happening. I don't know why i just do! You should see if Shiflet wants to go hunt with you! 2 sets of eyes are better than one! Well I love you a ton! I hope you have a good week and enjoy the company of your parents!
