This is a hand written note we received in the mail from Jake today...
Dear Mom & Dad,
Sorry I didn't write the first 2 days - I've been really busy and our teacher was strict about not writing letters during study time. Anyway I have seen Jake & Zach multiple times. They are doing good and Zach is District Leader so he is really busy. My companion and I have our own room which is nice because it's quiet, but it also sucks because it's lonely. The food is really good but the eggs are nasty. But they do have all you can drink chocolate milk! I have been writitng in my journal every night & that is somewhat of a stress reliever. Brother Gines is one of the counselors in the Branch Presidency and he has been really helpful. He stopped by our room the other night to check up on us. Somehow we got talking about hunting and I found out he shot a bull that scored like 355 this year. I have learned so much already but I'm still figuring out how to teach with the spirit instead of just giving them information. I started feeling sick yesterday :-( I have a dry throat and nose, and a headache. But it isn't to bad. I'm glad to hear the car got fixed and you made it home safely. I met a missionary that is headed to Tucson next week and told him to look out for you.
